FemMag Reads!

On this week’s show, we celebrate National Poetry Month by reading Adrienne Rich. With new releases of her groundbreaking works Diving Into the Wreck: Poems 1971-1972, and The Dream of a Common Language: Poems 1974-1977, it’s a great time to find or revisit Rich’s poetry. Skylight Book’s Meg Wade and Ms. Blogger Danielle Roderick talk about Rich’s legacy and reading her work for the first time, 40 years after she changed the literary landscape and articulated new spaces in the Feminist movement.

Also, be sure to listen to last year’s tribute to Rich, including historic audio from the Pacifica Radio Archives and a conversation with local poet Eloise Klein Healy.  Rich’s interview, like her work, promises to inspire both the creative and activist mind.
