Telling the story of the sterilization of Mexican American women at LA County Hospital in the 70’s … and the struggle for justice by the women, a young Chicana lawyer and a whistle blowing young doctor.
THEN … we’re joined by two members of the new LA based Chicana Feminist collective, Con Fuerza – Jocelyn Escobedo and Rosie Rocha Martinez – sharing about their group’s work and the varied members .
PLUS … healing practitioners Cat Uribe and Iris de Anda talk about the first year at their new healing center in El Sereno, Here & Now. They’ll share how it came to be and the importance of health in varied communities.
