THIS WEEK on Feminist Magazine with host Lynn Harris Ballen : FIRST, The recent Texas anti-abortion law – which bans abortions after 6 weeks and deputizes citizens to turn people in – is just the latest action towards hollowing out or dismantling Roe vs Wade.  But opponents have been chipping away at availability and access to legal abortion in the US for years.  In this powerful documentary segment, Charlotte Landes of Making Contact looks back at the early ’70s when abortion was still illegal and a radical collective in Chicago – nicknamed ‘The Janes’ – took abortions into their own hands. We’ll hear their voices from the Stanford Storytelling Project.
