FM Mar 31: MujeresdeMaiz UNEarthed / Human Trafficking in COVID

It’s the end of Women’s History Month, and Lynn & Cherise talk about what we’ve covered this month, and feedback from our listeners about their favorite episodes on our Podcast.
On THIS WEEK’S SHOW :
FIRSTMujeres de Maiz (Women of the Corn) is raising funds for a feature documentary sharing the 25-year herstory of this grassroots multimedia women’s artist/activist collective.
The film is called UnEARTHED: Indigenous Resilience: Desire, Transformation & Space. Lynn talks to Claudia Mercado and Nadia Zepeda – two members of the collective – about why the film is so needed. And about the herstory of this amazing collective of indigenous identified urban women of color that dare to follow their desire to create, unite, resist, heal … and inspire social change.
THEN … Cherise talks Jessica Hernandez – Trauma Educator, Anti-Oppression Activist, Sex Trafficking Specialist, and CEO of WiserFutureCollective – who shares her on-the-ground insights on human trafficking in Los Angeles, and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on this crisis.
