THIS WEEK on Feminist Magazine with host Lynn Harris Ballen :: FIRST … What Does It Take for Queer Women’s Spaces to Survive? Filmmaker Alexis Clements traveled the country to find out. And her just released documentary “All We’ve Got” is a personal exploration of LGBTQ women’s communities, cultures, and social justice work — through the lens of the physical spaces they create, from bars to bookstores to arts and political hubs.

THEN … Three years ago, Olympia Auset started SÜPRMARKT, a Los Angeles pop-up and delivery service for organic fruits and vegetables. The idea came out of her frustration with the lack of healthy food options in South L.A. Now she’s startingKeep Slauson Fresh – a fundraising campaign to turn her mobile operation into a brick-and-mortar health food store. She joins us to tell us all about it.

AND … This Saturday, Chicana labor and civil rights icon Dolores Huerta will be celebrated with the unveiling of “Dolores Huerta Plaza” on E. 1st Street in Boyle Heights – with performances from Alice Bag Band, Lysa Flores, Ella, Drew Trap Girl, Chulita Vinyl Club & Nikki Darling. So we’re going to take a look back at Dolores’ achievements – with part of a special compilation from the Pacifica Radio Archives – celebrating her birthday last year with clips of her historic speeches and musical tributes.
