And today on the show we’re centering Black feminist / womanist history – so showcasing, uplifting, and amplifying the voices of black women across the diaspora through literature is a great place to start! We’ll hear from Asha Grant/Director, Cara Elise Taylor /Social media coordinator & Photographer and Desirée Taylor/ Event Producer.
AND … we’ll feature clips from a past interview remembering Aretha Franklin’s social justice legacy. Aretha used song – and the platform it provided her – as a way of advancing feminism and social activism in powerful and often overlooked ways.
