FIRST…Cherise Charleswell speaks with Tonya Lovelace, CEO of Women of Color Network, Inc., who has close to 19 years of direct service, advocacy, systems change, project development and management, and national, state, and local anti-oppression and cultural competency training experience within the anti-violence against women movement. We will be speaking with Tonya about WOCN’s recently released publication, “Life in the Margins: Expanding Intimate Partner Violence Services for Women of Color by Using Homicide and Hotline Data as Evidence- A National Technical Assistance Guide”.

THEN… Poet and activist Reilly Loayza joins us to discuss toxic masculinity, identity and the importance of words. Tune in to hear her live poetry and about her upcoming poetry event.

AND…In a featured piece by Making Contact, “Walk the Talk: Stories of Indigenous-led Resistance to Oil and Waste,”  we’ll meet people challenging polluters in their own backyard. From urban to rural communities, we’ll learn about indigenous-led efforts to protect public health and the environment for future generations.
