Following a weekend of nationwide protests around the new administration’s discriminatory and unconstitutional travel ban against Muslims, we’ll spend the entire hour featuring a broadcast from KPFA’s Womens Magazine – a panel of feminist activists discussing strategies and lessons for navigating the current crisis of leadership. Kate Raphael speaks with Rinku Sen of Race Forward and ColorLines, Rachel Herzing, cofounder of Critical Resistance and codirector of Center for Political Education, and Rebecca Gordon, author and professor at University of San Francisco.
Covering a range of topics including healthcare, immigration, criminal justice reform, public education, reproductive justice, municipal power and the role of feminism, they talk about ways to be engaged in the resistance.
