MUSIC Gift Guide!

With a little help from our friends, past guests, & DJs we know …we’ve put together a list of great albums that came out this year – from women artists or female fronted bands – many of them indie & local bands!

We got to play just a few tracks on our 12/23 Last Minute (feminist) Gift Guide show. But the whole list is RIGHT HERE (in the order that these music suggestions were sent to us) ENJOY!

NEW ALBUMS & INDIE DOWNLOADS THAT MAKE GREAT GIFTS ~
∞ Morgen Kassel suggests: check out Shitting Glitter. A great local band fronted by Amy Crosby.
∞ Staci O’Neal-Robinson suggests: St. Vincent‘s newest album for sure!
∞ Katie Landers suggests: “Too True” by Dum Dum Girls
And of course local LA band Sloppy Jane released their first EP this year “Totally Limbless”
∞ Shams Diana Aleyn Cohen suggests: “Storm Large” by Lake Street Dive
∞ Jay Johnson suggests: No Small Children– kick-ass local band! Three schoolteachers who rock. They released the album “Trophy Wife” earlier this year.
∞ Cathy de la Cruz suggests:
Creatura from my hometown of San Antonio, TX released an album this year! “Open The Door” EP
burning palms from my most recent city of Tucson, Arizona!
and Rules from my current city of brooklyn, ny!
∞ Jane Emanuel suggests: One from the UK. “String Theory” from Pauline Black and the Selector. It’s a 2013 release, but only now touring
∞ Ruby Kane says: I’m not musical, but my wife ∞ Ami Eaton is, and her two latest obsessions are the tUnE-yArDs “Nikki Nack” and St. Vincent.
∞ Laurie Kipp suggests a cool mix, including a few local Seattle bands:
