July 8 on FM: SCOTUS vs Repro Justice/Organizing Caregivers/Swedish Feminists Win!

Hosted by Ariana Manov & Sese Abejon :   Is it Time To Panic? Three daring reproductive justice activists discuss the feminist ingenuity required to deal with the recent Supreme Court (SCOTUS) decisions about reproductive rights.  We’re hosting a roundtable!
Gabriela Valle is the Senior Director of Community Education & Mobilization for California Latinas For Reproductive Justice where she focuses on community-based education, alliance-building and mobilizing throughout California. Nourbese Flint is a program manager with Black Women for Wellness, where she directs reproductive and environmental health policy, organizes community advocacy and manages reproductive justice programming. Veteran feminist activist Carol Downer, the co-founder of the Feminist Women’s Health Center, is still pioneering efforts which helped unleash a cultural revolution and she’s keeping Women’s Health In Women’s Hands. They’ll discuss SCOTUS, “survive and thrive” strategies and what we’re missing.
Plus —Laphonza Butler is the President of  SEIU United Long Term Care Workers (ULTCW), which represents 180,000 in-home caregivers and nursing home workers throughout California. She’s “hot flashing” on our union-busting climate.
And… do you know that Sweden’s Feminist Initiative Party won a seat in the European Parliament, becoming the first feminist party in history to do so? We’re reprising Amy Goodman’s “Democracy Now” interview with the cofounder Gudrun Schyman.
On Tuesday at 3, this is what feminism sounds like!
