Sept 25 on FM: Radio with a brain, the UNDOCUBUS, immigrant memoir

Hosted by Ariana Manov and Lynn Harris Ballen w/ Celina Alvarez :  Radio with a brain! Iconic, award-winning author, feminist leader, political analyst, journalist, radio host and editor, Robin Morgan introduces her newest project and brings us up to date on her 40+ years of women’s liberation organizing. Robin has published more than 20 books, including the now-classic anthologies Sisterhood Is Powerful, Sisterhood Is Global, and Sisterhood Is Forever. She founded or co-founded numerous feminist organizations, including The Sisterhood Is Global Institute, and The Women’s Media Center.
Queer outlaw activist Kitzia Esteva tells us how injustices targeting undocumented people are pushing migrants across the U.S. to a defiant new level of protest. It’s taken her out of the closet and onto the streets–and onto the Bus –the UNDOCUBUS. It’s about the “No Papers, No Fear Ride for Justice” and working against criminalization and for legalization.
And …… we’ll take a look at immigration from the other side of the border, when award-winning novelist Reyna Grande talks intimately about what happens to the children when their father leaves for the U.S. in hopes of a better life. She shares her family’s story which shapes her memoir “The Distance Between Us.”

On Tuesday afternoon at 3, this is what feminism sounds like!
