And we’re gathering some fierce activists from the Domestic Workers Bill of Rights Coalition (Maya Barron, from the Progressive Jewish Alliance, Maria “Boots” De Chavez from the Association of Filipino Workers, Altagracia Garcia and Vilma Hernandez from the Coalition for Humane Immigrants Rights of Los Angeles, and Aquiliana Soriano Versoza from the Pilipino Workers Center. They’ll describe their struggle to get vital protections for the health, safety and dignity of their work –which has long been excluded from labor laws. And they’ll discuss how they’re collaborating with employers who want to do the right thing but don’t know how. We’ll open phones so you can participate. That’s Wednesday, June 15, at 7 PM.
