Female Leadership in the Southern Civil Rights Struggle. Feminist scholar, Sara Harris, will discuss The Emancipation of Women, written in 1965 at the height of the Civil Rights movement. This groundbreaking analysis addresses the emerging leadership of African American and white women, and sexism within the movement. Sponsored by Radical Women.
