Dr Cat Woman a.k.a. Catherine, a Feminist Magazine guest and coalition member is hosting a Women’s CR Group. With the intention of getting together and having some fun, we will do a talking circle in Native American fashion and pass the talking stick around to talk about Women’s issues in the tradition of Women’s movements. The night will end with music, so please bring along your instrument of choice to play; guitar, drum, or even a keyboard.
To get some background on Women’s CR Groups, Dr. Cat recommends reading Manifesta by Jennifer Baumgardner and Amy Richards. The first 100 pages or so are great. If you have Dr. Cat’s book, read chapter 1 on the women’s movement, or chapter 2 which mentions CR groups under the section “The History of PTSD.”
Also, bring food or drink or whatever you think, and we will have a nice little spread. Please r.s.v.p. to the phone number listed below, so we have a count of how many to expect.
