Do It Yourself, Do It Together: Feminists Make Media
Two endeavors in contemporary feminist publishing will come together to explore the state of feminist discourse as it emerges in the form of online publications, handmade zines, and printed magazines. At 11 a.m., Jessica Hoffmann and Daria Yudacufski, copublishers/coeditors of make/shift, will describe the project and the broader state of feminist media. After that, participants will join Margarat Nee and Kim Riot of Grrrl Zines A Go-Go for a picnic lunch and hands-on zine-making workshop.11 a.m.:
