THEN … The national homelessness crisis has reached unprecedented levels during the COVID pandemic, and local jails play a direct role in the problem. In California, so-called “quality of life” laws target essentially make homelessness a crime. Reporter Sarah McClure chronicles the impact on women caught up in this system, and two ambitious programs working on Housing Not Jails in Los Angeles, trying to change these practices.

AND … Cherise Charleswell talks to Alexandria Dotson, a modern day “Renaissance woman”: season traveler, documentary filmmaker, award winning chef, and founder of ‘The Reset Health & Life Coaching’. She gives us a better understanding of what life coaches do, and why women, particularly BIPOC women may need them. As well as how the ongoing pandemic has impacted our notion of the work-life-balance.
