ANDSehba Sarwar talks to transnational author Sorayya Khan about her just released book, We Take Our Cities With Us: A Memoir. At a time when nations are constructing walls and global migration, and displacement and immigration issues remain urgent, Sorayya maps her family history and her parents’ worlds. This Pakistani-Dutch writer’s multicultural memoir of grief and immigrant experience illuminates the complexities of identity and inheritance in a global world.
