FM March 17: Punk Rock women-Tequila Mockingbird, Punk Rock Marthas. Plus LA writers.

THIS WEEK with hosts Teka Lark Fleming & Rita Gonzales : the theme is women with punk rock ethos with our guests…. FIRST UP, Tequila Mockingbird, from the Punk Museum. Our conversation will revolve around her history as a trailblazer in the L.A. music scene and being the only woman in the room.
THEN…We’re joined by Anji Williams and Angie Torres of the Punk Rock Marthas – Guerrilla Philanthropists— who volunteer, build and do good.
ANDDr. Ana Thorne of the L.A. Writers Conference. According to VIDA, a literary organization for women, only 30% of published books (in genres that are most likely to be reviewed) are by women. The LA Writer’s Conference at Mount St. Mary’s University this past weekend was filled with women, so we’ll talk about what the literary world can do to be not only more gender diverse, but more racially diverse.

At 3:00 on Tuesday, March 17th on Feminist Magazine, this is what feminism sounds like!
