For two days, May 15th and 16th, a powerful visual protest will take place in Downtown LA that will include artists from around the nation whose motive and works will combat the all-too-common abuse of power by America’s police forces.

The show expresses the voices of a generation of minority and marginalized communities being criminalized by this pathological social dynamic. This issue is not just an isolated problem only happening in a few large cities but is of nationwide epidemic levels. This event hopes to cast attention upon this injustice and advocate for reform.

This event is inspired by a recent art exhibition that took place in the San Francisco Bay Area that was in response to the murder of Oscar Grant by the Oakland police. The group of local artists displayed works with a common goal – to bring responsible public awareness to this volatile and heated issue. The LA event will include works by many of local political artists along with work from other talents from across the nation, live art, performance art, installations and other mediums.
